HOW TO ORDER PSU CABLES

A little bit confused about the order process? Don't worry, read on and we'll get you up to speed with the terminology, drop down menus and options!

This guide applies to all standard modular PSU cables and extension cables

  • PSU MODEL

    The most important thing when ordering modular cables is to ensure you select the correct cables for your PSU.

    Most PSUs on the market use totally different pinouts even though they use the same connectors. EVGA cables will fit a Corsair PSU but they are wired differently and could cause damage. We have a comprehensive list detailing compability between different models and brands. Check it out in the link below.

    (If you need help choosing, just send us a message with your PSU and we will let you know what options to select).

  • LENGTH

    All set ups are different, so, length is an important consideration when ordering your cables.

    We can offer advise on most set ups, as can our members on Discord. Just ask away in our server and members with similar rigs can let you know what they ordered.

    Alternatively, we recommend measuring the cables you need with a spare piece of wire, sleeving, cable etc. Route the wire where you want your cables to sit in your rig, measure and add around 10% on top of the length you think you need. Why is this? Well, we always recommend ordering the cables ever so slightly longer than needed. Its easier to manage cables with a bit of slack than being tight and puckered up.

  • CABLE COMBS

    Cable combs or no cable combs, that is the question!

    We only use MDPC-X on our custom PSU cables and extension. MDPC-X has amazing shape holding abilities when used with our custom 17AWG cable, so cable combs can be used or you can omit them and still route your cables and make them look beautiful.

    If you have long runs, not using cable combs can create an absolutely beautiful, flowing look to your cables. Shorter runs can be tidied up with combs. Its totally up to you. Asking us? We recommend against them ;) Keep it natural!

    We offer multiple colours and styles. Black, clear and white acrylic combs are standard. Aluminium combs are an optional extra. Get in touch if you need aluminium ones

  • CHOOSE YOUR PATTERN

    Now, its your time to get creative! We recommend using the ChooseMyPC.net sleeving prototyper. Its easy to use, allows you to match the MDPC-X sleeving from the colour swatch.

    As you can see from the sample photos, there are so many different styles, patterns and colours you can choose from! Go wild, go simple, go solid. The choice is yours!

  • Custom MDPC-X PSU Cables

    WHAT MDPC-X COLOURS?

    In addition to your pattern, we need to know what MDPC-X it corresponds to. As you can see in the prototyper on the photo to the left, there is a grey, blue and black pattern. If this is what you want to order, in the dialogue box, just pop a note in, 'B-Magic, Titanium Grey and Blackest Black.'

    We can apply ANY of the MDPC-X shades to our custom cables, so go wild and get creative!
